From 12th century troubadour songs through beautiful songs by Machaut, to 15th century French and Spanish dance music and English lute songs by Henry VIII and John Dowland. All performed on a large variety of mediaeval instruments including the lute, harp, fiddle, bagpipes and gittern.

Pastance came together in 1993 to perform Mediaeval and Renaissance music. Pastance has performed for the early music fraternity but also for a wide range of audiences, from folk festivals and formal concerts to schools, corporate feasts and open air markets.
