Great Bass Ballads

Alan Light was a foundation baritone of the Australian Opera in 1956, and was one of the country's best-known singers through the sixties and seventies.

The ballads are serious and sentimental, rousing and rollicking and they are despatched with enjoyment by Alan Light's rich and fruity voice. If you have an ear for these old ballads, you should enjoy this performance.

Full orchestral and choral accompaniment, arranged and conducted by Eric Gross.
