Dobbs Franks
Dobbs Franks is an American conductor whose Australian career takes in symphony, chamber-orchestra and opera-pit work, including live concert and broadcast recordings of contemporary scores.
Live recordings capture him with major Australian orchestras in music of the 1980s.
He conducts Images for orchestra and a clarinet concerto on David Joseph Selected Works, Vol. 1 (MD 3301), and the suite Valleys and Mountains on Bruce Cale: Orchestral Works (TP188).
He has also directed Australian opera and ballet orchestral forces for the soundtrack of the film Crush.
