Gene de Paul
Gene de Paul (1919–1988) was an American pianist, composer and songwriter. His standards include You Don’t Know What Love Is and Teach Me Tonight.
Born in New York City, he wrote for Hollywood studios and was among the composers of the songs and dances for the 1954 musical film Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. He also contributed music associated with Disney features including Alice in Wonderland. He joined ASCAP in 1941 and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1985.
