Howard Dillon
Australian composer Howard Dillon's interests in composition extend to electro-acoustic music, sound installations, as well as more traditional instrumental composition, including composing for community and educational projects.
Between 1997 and 2006 he organized the Elbow Room Concert Series highlighting the work of Melbourne composers in non-traditional venues on behalf of the Melbourne Composers' League. His music has been performed by the Astra Music Society, the Melbourne Composers' League, Monash University, and Forest Collective and as part of the Asian Music Festival in Bangkok and Tokyo. He has exhibited his Sound Installations at the Linden Gallery in Melbourne and the National Gallery of Victoria. He has a master’s degree in composition from La Trobe University.
