Jan Friedl

Jan Friedl was born in 1948 in Melbourne, Australia. She died in 2017 also in Melbourne, Australia. She was a singer and political organiser extraordinaire and an actress, known for Blue Heelers (1994), Round the Twist (1989), Evil Angels (1988) as well as in the acclaimed film A Cry in the Dark. She built a career spanning several decades with appearances across numerous Australian television productions, including episodic roles in series such as Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, City Homicide, and Snowy River: The McGregor Saga, alongside occasional film work. Her contributions extended beyond screen acting, as she was also recognized as a singer and political organizer within her community.
