Joan Skilbeck
Joan Skilbeck is a singer associated with the ensemble Gongworks Gamelan.
She sings on A Handful of Rain (MD 3218), ambient chamber works from the mid-1990s that draw on interlocking Javanese gamelan patterns and the line and sonority of Japanese Shinto music.
She also contributed the program notes for Bright Vessel (TP202), a collection of Australian works for solo oboe and oboe d’amore.
