Katie Jenkins
Katie Jenkins is a Welsh composer and producer whose music for stage, screen and the concert hall is coloured by her heritage. She writes across solo, chamber, choral and orchestral forms, often in close collaboration with dance, film and multimedia.
Her guitar duo Sidekick (MCD 648) is a custom character piece: playful, satirical and built around a partnership that is both competitive and inseparable.
She has written for dance, film and multimedia, including scores heard at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. Choral works published by Hal Leonard include settings of Dona Nobis Pacem and Ar Hyd Y Nos. The musical This Land of Ours received the American Prize in Composition.
