Paul Dessau
Paul Dessau (1894–1979) joined Brecht in East Berlin in 1948 at the Berliner Ensemble and became the principal composer in the last decade of Brecht’s life. Influenced by Middle Eastern and Asian music, he composed scores for works such as Deutsche Miserere.
