Trio Classico
The Trio Classico (Stefan Fahrni, piano/ Urs Walker, violin/ Regula Häusler Menges, cello) was founded in the second half of the eighties in Zurich.
The trio dedicated its work mainly to classical and romantic repertoire but also in contemporary music from the beginning. Trio Classico commissoned David Joseph to write a piano trio which was given the title The Afternoon. Urs Walker commented on the piece: 'I just love the floating charm of the Interlude ... somehow lazy, partly quite busy, never hurried.

Through Tropical Stars
David Joseph’s Through Tropical Stars gathers five chamber works inspired by the natural world. From the garden-like imagery of Concertino to the quiet melancholy of The Afternoon, the music brings nature’s textures, patterns and sounds into focus.

Urs Walker
Violinist Urs Walker won first prize at the Expo music competition in Lausanne and first prize at the Jecklin chamber music competition in Zurich in 1970. He studied with Ottavio Corti and Nicolas Chumachenko and took part in master classes with Leonid Kogan, Arthur Grumiaux and Nathan Milstein, among others.
