Arthur Hubbard
Arthur Hubbard is a bass-trombone and tuba player heard on the landmark Australian jazz cycle inspired by Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.
On Move’s reissue of the trilogy he colours the low brass across all three volumes, credited on bass trombone and, on the second, tuba as well.
His playing sits within the large jazz ensemble that portrays the characters and scenes of Middle-earth, from trad and swing textures to more film-like scoring, on The Lord of the Rings, Vol. 1 (MD 3251), The Lord of the Rings, Vol. 2 (MD 3252), and The Lord of the Rings, Vol. 3 (MD 3253).
