Lorraine Hook
Lorraine Hook has been a member of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’s First Violin Section since 1986.
She studied at the Victorian College of the Arts and at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She has worked with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia and London Festival Orchestra, and maintains a varied musical life in chamber music, youth orchestra tutoring and teaching.
As a violinist she appears on Australian chamber and orchestral recordings, including string-quartet parts in contemporary clarinet works and earlier concerto programmes with Melbourne ensembles.
