A. A. Milne
A. A. Milne (1882–1956) was an English writer best known for the Winnie-the-Pooh books and for children’s verse that later entered the song repertoire.
Before the Pooh stories overshadowed his other work he was a playwright, essayist and contributor to Punch. Verses from the children’s books were set as The Hums of Pooh, which appear on I Heard You Singing (MCD 470).
