Alan Ridout
Alan Ridout (1934–1996) was a British composer and teacher. His prolific output spanned church, orchestral and chamber music, much of it written for amateurs, students and children.
Trained in London and later a teacher at the Royal College of Music and several universities, he wrote in a largely tonal idiom and produced a large body of shorter concertinos, unaccompanied pieces and liturgical works.
His Introit in D Minor appears among the short organ works on Organ Miniatures (MD 3292).
