Brian Cadd

Brian Cadd's songs and keyboard work run through Australian pop from The Groop and Axiom into solo records, film themes and other artists' hits, with a melodic, piano-led sound.

On the Franciscus Henri album Gabriel's Mother's Highway he produces and plays keyboards in a gentle folk-rock setting, letting the arrangements stay clear while the set builds toward a stronger close. As a writer he has given songs to John Farnham, Little River Band, The Pointer Sisters and others, and he scored the Alvin Purple films. His own records keep piano and tune at the centre, whether with the Bootleg Family Band circle or on later solo work.
