Dan Walker
Dan Walker is a countertenor and composer active in contemporary Australian music, heard both as a singer in new opera and as a writer of chamber song.
His setting of D. H. Lawrence, The Mystic Blue, for mezzo-soprano with alto flute and vibraphone, is among the world-premiere commissions on Kingfisher (TP236).
As a singer he takes the role of the poet’s shade in excerpts from the opera The Aspern Papers on Elephantasy (MD 3454).
