Diego Masson
Diego Masson (born 1935) is a French conductor, composer and percussionist, long associated with contemporary music and with major orchestras and youth ensembles across Europe, Asia and Australasia.
He founded Musique Vivante, an ensemble devoted to new music, and has directed specialist groups as well as symphony orchestras and opera and ballet companies. He has worked extensively with student orchestras, including in Australia.
On A Garden of Earthly Delights (TP113) he conducts the Australian Youth Orchestra in three Australian concertos. He also leads the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in a piano concerto on David Joseph Selected Works, Vol. 2 (MD 3302).
