John Mallinson
John Mallinson is an organist and choir director heard on Move recordings made at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Melbourne, including a large Christmas programme of carols and organ pieces.
He plays the organ on We Wish You a Merry Christmas (MD 3079), a twenty-eight-track selection that mixes familiar English and French carols with Bach and Pachelbel organ pieces and later settings. He is also credited as choir director on Maurice Duruflé: Organ Music (MD 3102), the complete organ works recorded on the same cathedral instrument.
