Leigh Harline
Leigh Harline (1907–1969) was an American film composer and songwriter, best known for his Disney scores and the song When You Wish Upon a Star.
Harline scored more than fifty Disney shorts and features in the 1930s, including work on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, before writing songs and score for Pinocchio (1940). When You Wish Upon a Star won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and later became closely identified with Disney itself.
After leaving the studio in 1941 he composed for other Hollywood features through the 1940s and 1960s.
