Léon Roques
Léon Roques (1839–1923) was a French composer, accompanist and transcriber, remembered above all for chamber and keyboard arrangements of late Romantic and early twentieth-century French music.
His own seasonal miniature Il est né le divin Enfant appears among the short liturgical and concert pieces on Organ Miniatures (MD 3292). Arrangements from the same French tradition also sit behind the cello-and-piano programme on A Little French Cello (MD 3367), where song and piano works are recast for the duo medium.

Organ Miniatures
A collection of 33 short organ works on the 1882 T.C. Lewis organ at St George’s Uniting Church, East St Kilda. The programme samples music written for small pipe organs and harmoniums, from Baroque chorales to twentieth-century miniatures.
