Olof Wendel

Olof Wendel is a percussionist and cimbalom specialist, and a member of the Nordic ensemble Duo Langborn/Wendel. He also composes and arranges for the instrument’s distinctive voice.

His concert cimbalom is heard on Nordic Moods & Baroque Echoes (MCD 656), where the rarely heard instrument joins baroque strings and continuo in a programme of Swedish folk, baroque music, and new writing. The disc includes his own Löv som faller and his arrangements of traditional songs such as Kärestans död and Kristallen den fina.

Performing as Duo Langborn/Wendel

A Nordic duo comprising the unusual combination of baroque violin, played by Catalina Langborn, and the rarely heard cimbalom played by percussionist and cimbalom specialist Olof Wendel. More about Duo Langborn/Wendel
