Peter Sheppard Skærved
Peter Sheppard Skærved (born 1966) is a violinist and violist, and the dedicatee of over 150 new works. He leads the Kreutzer Quartet.
As first violin of the Kreutzer Quartet he has built a wide contemporary repertoire and long creative partnerships with living composers. On Move he appears with the ensemble on Unfold (MD 3371), a programme of mid-century Australian string quartets.

The Kreutzer Quartet has forged an enviable reputation as one of Europe’s most dynamic and innovative string quartets. They are the dedicatees of numerous works, and over many years have forged creative partnerships with composers including Sir Michael Tippett, David Matthews, Michael Finnissy, Judith Weir and Hafliði Hallgrímsson.
