Rohan Murray

Rohan Murray is an Australian pianist and a principal partner of Melbourne’s Team of Pianists. His Move recordings centre on solo piano, from late Romantic repertoire to contemporary Australian works.

As one of four principal partners in the Team of Pianists he appears across several Move programmes linked with the ensemble’s National Trust and Glenfern work.

On Sparkling Keys (MCD 239) he plays Scriabin’s Piano Sonata No. 9. The Schimmel concert-grand collection includes his accounts of Chopin’s Revolutionary Étude and Carl Vine’s Piano Sonata No. 1.

On New Norcia: A Spanish Rhapsody (MCD 460) he gives the first Australian and world recordings of Dom Stephen Moreno’s Romance for solo piano and, with violin, the Romance and Spanish Serenade.
