Stephen Yates
Stephen Yates (b. 1957) is a Sydney composer whose catalogue includes ballet scores and chamber works, among them music for lower-voiced recorders and strings.
His one-act ballet Love Reconciled or The Rewards of Evil, built on French baroque themes, received its world première recording on Love Reconciled (MCD 424).
The dancelike Bat-Music for alto recorder and string quartet appears on Muse (MCD 587), a programme of Australian works for recorder and string quartet.
