Tim Hansen

Tim Hansen is an Australian composer with a dual career in music and theatre.

His characterful suite Pencils was written for percussion and recorder. Earwig, first scored for guitar and percussion and later recast for violin and guitar, brings sudden shifts of colour, style and silence to the duo stage.

d'aujourd'hui

Crossing ragtime, tango, modern classical and folk idioms, this violin and guitar programme runs from Piazzolla’s 1986 Histoire du Tango to Tim Hansen’s 2007 rescoring of Earwig for Zoë Black and Daniel McKay.
