William Faulkes

William Faulkes (1863–1933) was an English organist and composer, best known for more than five hundred published organ works for church, wedding and concert use.

A native of Liverpool, he spent most of his working life there, serving long as organist of St Margaret’s, Anfield, and conducting the Anfield Orchestral Society. Besides his large organ output he wrote choral music, songs, and chamber and orchestral works, and recorded player rolls for the Welte Company in Germany.

His Nuptial Postlude in F appears on Just Married: Organ Music for a Wedding (MD 3149), and Autumn Song on Concert Organ Masterpieces (MD 3210).
