Albert Hague
Albert Hague (1920–2001) was a German-born American songwriter and actor. His Broadway musicals include Plain and Fancy, source of the enduring standard Young and Foolish.
Hague’s other stage scores include Redhead, Cafe Crown, and The Fig Leaves Are Falling. Well-known songs of his include Look Who’s in Love and Did I Ever Really Live?
He composed the songs for the television cartoon special How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and later became widely known on screen as music teacher Benjamin Shorofsky in the film and series Fame.
