Andrew Batterham

Andrew Batterham is an Australian composer whose music ranges from sacred choral settings to brass and chamber works for contemporary ensembles.

His Three Psalms appear with the Choir of Scots’ Church, Melbourne, on Sing to the Lord, ye Heavenly Hosts (MCD 200). A Trumpet Concerto is heard live with Victoria Brass on Victoria Brass Live (MCD 641). For trumpet, trombone and guitar he wrote Organica, opening Ensemble Three’s Midnight Songs (TP237), a work of driving rhythms, colourful overlays and gradual organic growth from its opening material.
