Dorothy Fields
Dorothy Fields (1904–1974) was an American lyricist and librettist who wrote more than four hundred songs for Broadway musicals and films. Her standards remain among the most recorded of the twentieth century.
Working across Tin Pan Alley, Broadway and Hollywood, she wrote durable lyrics such as The Way You Look Tonight, On the Sunny Side of the Street, I’m in the Mood for Love, A Fine Romance, Pick Yourself Up and Big Spender.
