Graeme Leak
Graeme Leak's percussion sharpens Larry Sitsky's De Profundis into an intense reading of Oscar Wilde's prison text, and he moves as performer and composer through the tape and live-electronic pieces of the WATT collective.
With baritone and string quartets he colours Sitsky's melodrama of rebuke, suffering and resolution, giving the score pointed rhythmic force. On the WATT compilation he belongs inside two decades of concert electronics: brief studio exercises, long computer and tape works, and collaborative live pieces that range across the collective's full span.
