Ken Herron
Ken Herron is a trombonist whose playing is heard on the restored reissues of a landmark 1970s Australian jazz cycle inspired by Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.
He is credited as a performer across the three double-CD volumes of that epic studio project, a large-ensemble portrait of Middle-earth that moves from trad jazz and blues to more film-like scoring. The Move reissues restore the original late-1970s EMI sets, including The Lord of the Rings, Vol. 1 (MD 3251), Vol. 2 (MD 3252), and Vol. 3 (MD 3253).
