Lisa-Maree Amos
Lisa-Maree Amos is a flutist who appears on recordings of contemporary chamber music for the extended flute family, performing on C flute and alto flute.
Her C flute is heard among the low-flute programmes on Below: Music for Low Flutes (MD 3330) and Monologues & Dialogues (MD 3349). On Sonorous Sonatas (MD 3375) she takes the alto flute in Forest Over Sea, a four-movement duo with bass flute.

Sonorous Sonatas
Peter Sheridan set out to bring the larger, lower flutes to centre stage, testing their sound and colour within one of Western music’s most traditional forms: the sonata. Commissioned works and substantial duo writing put alto, bass, contrabass and subcontrabass flutes in the foreground.

Monologues & Dialogues
This recording features the resonant, meditative colours of modern low flutes. Austere, breathy and at times eerie, these deep registers open a sound-world still little explored in woodwind writing, and invite a wide range of musical imaginings.

Below: Music for Low Flutes
This charming and rare recording features predominantly commissioned chamber music for low flutes, written to showcase their lyrical and colourful tonal qualities and to expand a small yet growing repertoire.
