Benjamin Thorn and Wayne Madden present a journey through 600 years of music on the theme of love. Rarely heard works by Barbara Strozzi and Francesca Caccini sit beside the more familiar music of Telemann and Ortiz.

Wayne Madden (spinet and percussion) and Australian composer and recorder player Benjamin Thorn present a journey through 600 years of music on the theme of love. Rarely heard works by Barbara Strozzi and Francesca Caccini sit beside the more familiar music of Telemann and Ortiz. Thorn's own arrangements and compositions are interspersed to give a more contemporary angle on a timeless subject.

As Dolcimelo they play recorders with spinet and percussion. The programme ranges from medieval dances and ground-bass models through wedding pieces by Telemann and Strozzi to Thorn's own works on love, homeland and the Song of Songs.
