Nicholas Alexander
Nicholas Alexander worked as a producer and recording engineer on early Move Records releases, capturing Australian classical, contemporary, folk and jazz performances of the 1970s.
His production credits include the landmark cathedral double set Reverberations (MD 3008), the live folk-club album People Get Ready (MD 3009), the memorial double album of Ian Bonighton’s music, the four-hand piano Rite of Spring, and Tony Gould’s improvised programme.
As recording engineer he documented the Ronald Sharp organ at Ormond College Chapel before its rebuild on Pachelbel, His Canon and Much More (MD 3013), and hymn singing with brass in St Patrick’s Cathedral on Hymns For All Seasons (MD 3062).

Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring was first composed in 1913 for piano four hands, eight years before the orchestral score was published. Ronald Farren-Price and Rosslyn Farren-Price give an intense, highly rhythmic performance of the Rite, set against Ravel's melodic Mother Goose Suite, also originally written for piano four hands.
