From the stirring theme for the ABC series Rush to the sensitive score for Pat Lovell’s feature Break of Day, the programme also takes in Power Without Glory, the children’s film Let the Balloon Go, the documentary A Steam Train Passes, and further scores from the 1960s and 70s.

This reissue gathers music from the heyday of the Australian film and television industry, specially recorded with Dreyfus conducting the Melbourne and Queensland Symphony Orchestras.
