Peter Warlock
Peter Warlock (1894–1930) was a British composer best known for songs and other vocal music. Under that name he left a distinctive body of carols, folk arrangements and the popular dance suite Capriol.
Born Philip Heseltine, he published his music under the Warlock pseudonym. His most prolific years fell in the 1920s. Beyond the songs and carols he is widely remembered for the Renaissance-inspired dances of the Capriol Suite (1926), later scored for strings and for full orchestra.
