Melbourne’s Binneas Quartet takes its name from the Gaelic word for purity and sweetness of sound, and that quality shapes this recording.
The programme pairs Haydn’s String Quartet Op. 76 No. 1 with Bartók’s String Quartet No. 6, and sets between them a group of delightful arrangements from Dvořák’s Cypresses.
