Mozart
Having already tackled the likes of Liszt, Chopin and Godowsky, Ian Holtham continues his exploration of the virtuoso piano repertoire with this new CD for Move.
Holtham's Mozart starts with the well-known composer's cheeky and engaging variations on the well-known French nursery tune, "Ah, vous dirai-je, Maman" (K. 265) - what we know as Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. Also featured are the two early Rondos, and the demanding D Major (K. 311) and A minor (K. 310) sonatas from Mozart's late period.
