All the music has been newly arranged for symphony orchestra conducted by Xinyu Liu. It includes traditional Cantonese music, well-known Chinese folk songs, familiar arias from Peking opera and an original work for small instrumental ensemble comprising collages and parodies based on Mozart mixed with Chinese melodies.

Every piece has been newly arranged for symphony orchestra, giving these timeless melodies a fresh voice while honouring their authentic spirit.

From the delicate shimmer of Autumn Moon Over the Calm Lake to the jubilant energy of Dry Boat Dance and the lyrical beauty of Reminiscences, these performances reimagine beloved traditions for the symphony orchestra. A celebration of culture, history, and imagination—this album invites listeners into a sound world where timeless Chinese melodies meet the colours and textures of the modern orchestra.
