Catherine Hocking
Catherine Hocking is a saxophonist with the Melbourne contemporary music ensemble re-sound. Her work with the group sits in electroacoustic chamber music and live electronic performance.
She plays alto saxophone on Ephemeral Densities (MD 3295), a programme of new Australian works that weave chamber writing with computer music and electronic textures.
She also performs on In C (MD 3262), re-sound’s electroacoustic reading of that minimalist landmark, developed through years of live experiment with beats, sequences and acoustic ensemble.
