Jim Atkins

Jim Atkins is a recording, editing and mastering engineer and producer whose sessions span classical and contemporary chamber music, folk song, brass and large-scale ensemble work.

His credits cover piano and chamber programmes such as Pianists of Excellence (MCD 029) and PianoWorks (MD 3233), contemporary collections including Redror (MD 3183) and In the Pipeline (TP095), and larger projects such as The Glass Soldier (MD 3318) and the three-disc set Immersion (TP246), which he also produced.

Further engineering includes Horn Concertos (TP042), WindSong (MD 3174) and Fortune My Foe (MCD 435), with mastering on The Fair Dinkum Matilda (MD 3175) and production on David Joseph Selected Works, Vol. 2 (MD 3302).

Sessions have been made at ABC facilities including the former Waverley Studios and the Iwaki Auditorium, Southbank, and at venues such as Hawthorn Town Hall.
