Howard Birnstihl
Howard Birnstihl is a photographer whose cover, exterior and general photography appears across many Move Records releases from the late 1970s into the 2000s.
His work sits on sleeves and booklets for organ, choral, piano, early-music and jazz titles recorded for the label, including exterior photography and cover photographs as well as general photography credits. The discs range from cathedral and college-chapel programmes to studio and concert-hall sessions, so the images form part of how those Melbourne-centred recordings were first presented.
