The Victorian Time Machine, directed by Richard David Hames, grew out of the Victorian College of the Arts as an instrumental and vocal ensemble for new music. This 1979 programme pairs Guillaume Dufay with works by Hames, Barry Conyngham and James Fulkerson.

Anna Freeman has held the position of Professor for Trumpet and Wind Chamber Music at the “Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, Aachen Campus” Germany since 1999. James Fulkerson
James Fulkerson composes chamber, stage, electroacoustic and multimedia works and plays trombone in experimental music. His Music for Brass Instruments III is concentrated brass writing; as a player he has drawn more than two hundred new pieces and leads ensembles at the edge of the notated score.
