Martin has brought technical expertise and a vision focused on documenting innovative and under-represented musical works, particularly those by local composers and performers. His label's early ethos emphasised accessibility for Melbourne-based talent in genres like classical and early music, while also venturing into folk and contemporary experimental sounds, setting it apart from larger international imprints.
